About the Role
This is much more than a traditional learning and development role.
As our Talent Development Manager, you'll lead the team responsible for creating a brilliant learning experience for colleagues across SettleParadigm. You'll work closely with leaders across the business to understand future capability needs, develop innovative learning solutions and build leadership and professional development pathways that support both individual careers and organisational success.
Leading a team of Talent Development Partners, a Talent Development Coordinator and our Customer Services Trainer, you'll create a learning culture where development is practical, engaging and aligned to our business priorities.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our Learning Academy, influence how we develop future talent and ensure learning remains at the heart of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing Talent Development team.
Develop and deliver our talent development strategy, ensuring it supports our organisational priorities and future ambitions.
Partner with leaders and managers to identify capability gaps and create practical, high-impact development solutions.
Design and oversee leadership, management, professional and early careers development programmes.
Champion a culture of continuous learning, encouraging colleagues to take ownership of their development.
Lead the ongoing development of our Learning Management System and Learning Academy, ensuring an engaging learner experience.
Oversee mandatory and compliance learning, ensuring colleagues have the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
Use data, insight and evaluation to measure impact and continuously improve our learning offer.
Manage external learning providers and budgets, ensuring quality, innovation and value for money.
Work collaboratively across the wider People Experience team to support performance, talent, succession planning and organisational change.
What We’re Looking For
Must haves:
Has significant experience leading learning, talent or organisational development within a complex organisation.
Has experience managing and developing specialist teams.
Builds trusted relationships and confidently partners with senior leaders.
Can translate business priorities into meaningful learning and development solutions.
Has excellent coaching, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
Uses insight, data and evaluation to demonstrate impact and return on investment.
Is passionate about creating inclusive learning experiences that enable everyone to succeed.
Brings energy, curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset.
Nice to haves:
We're looking for someone who:
Experience working within housing, public sector or not-for-profit organisations.
Experience developing leadership and management programmes.
Experience supporting early careers, apprenticeships or talent pipelines.
Experience managing Learning Management Systems and digital learning platforms.
A relevant learning, HR or organisational development qualification (or working towards one).

Experience designing and launching organisation-wide learning academies or development frameworks.
A passion for modern learning approaches, digital learning and learning innovation.
Experience embedding professional standards, capability frameworks or behavioural development across an organisation.

annual salary: £58,028 per annum

Working Hours & Additional Pay
37 hours per week
Hybrid working with regular attendance at our Letchworth Garden City and Wooburn Green offices, alongside occasional travel to other locations as required.
