We’re looking for a New Business Development Support Officer to join our Development & Regeneration team on a part time basis (22.5 hours over 3 full days p/w or over 4 or 5 part days, to include Monday and Wednesday).

Our New Business team identifies and secures new housing development opportunities that help us deliver more high quality homes. In this role, you’ll provide vital administrative, research and operational support that underpins our ability to move schemes through acquisition, planning and handover smoothly and efficiently.
You’ll work closely with colleagues, consultants, house builders, funders, local authorities and residents, helping us build strong relationships and deliver projects that align with our purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll support the New Business team by helping to identify and research new development opportunities, carrying out planning and site research and maintaining key databases, trackers and project documents. You’ll assist project leads with due diligence, planning and funding applications, as well as stakeholder engagement and organising consultation events. You’ll arrange site visits, undertake basic inspections and help prepare information for governance and Board reporting.
The role also includes supporting procurement activities, ensuring accurate and audit‑ready document management, and assisting with the smooth handover of schemes to the department Delivery team. You’ll provide essential administrative support, such as minute‑taking, mail-outs, inbox management, invoice processing and set up and maintain scheme data in systems. You’ll also contribute to ongoing improvements in processes and procedures.
What You’ll Bring, Must haves:
• Experience in an administrative, coordination or support role.
• Excellent IT skills, especially MS Office and Excel.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage time, organise workload and maintain attention to detail.
• Experience working collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.
• A positive, proactive approach to problem solving.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
Nice to haves:
• Experience within social housing, development, construction or similar environments.
• Familiarity with SDS ProVal, Sequel, planning portals, Land Registry or GIS tools.
• Understanding of town planning, procurement, development processes or grant funding.
• Experience preparing Board-level information or drafting consultant appointments

annual salary: £20,679 for 22.5 hours from 01 April 2026 (FTE £34,006)
